The Ranger 25 SC with a beam of 8′6″is easily trailer-able and fun to operate (tandem axle trailer available), which means you can move her to the best cruising grounds each season. So, if you could hook up and drive to where you’d like to spend time, the chances are pretty good you’ll go. The R25 SC sports a Lewmar stainless 12v Windlass so you’ll be able to handle the ground tackle with ease.
The cabin is comfortable and offers 360º views of the horizon. The galley is to starboard and boasts a sink, a Wallace stove and Nova-Cool fridge. A full head with sink, shower and marine toilet is spacious and a welcome addition to this boats design. The interior is light and bright with oversized windows and skylight hatches.
The self-bailing cockpit offers plenty of room for relaxing or fishing, plus there is a full swim platform just aft of the transom door. The folks at Ranger Tugs have really given some thought to the needs of those who are looking to cruise. The deckhouse top offers stowage for all your ‘got to have it stuff’ whether it’s a place for that bike, kayak or crab pots.
The included dinghy with the Suzuki 2.5 outboard is an excellent addition to help you maximize your cruising pleasure.
The inboard Yanmar diesel is efficient and quiet, with comfortable cruising speed quickly achieved.
